Crane on a city portal!
FB GRU presents at MECI 2008 show the new models of TOPLESS series, the GHS451 and the GHS501 – with jib length respectively 45 m and 50 m, maximum height achievable at the hook of 41 m, jib end capacity of 1000 kg and maximum capacity 2000 kg. These new models are standard equipped with Inverters with three speeds on all movements, all the structural components are realized with elements of maximum length of 6 m and with certified high strength materials for the weight reduction. In particular, these new models, other than summarize all the characteristics of the GHS series, are suitable to be installed and used in building site in which the accessibility doesn’t permit the using of the traditional cranes, like in historical centers, and therefore they represent the best solution for the restructuration in the urban area since their configuration on portal permits the transit, both vehicular and pedestrian, in order to reduce the occupation of the public ground and gain space in the building yard which otherwise is not utilizable. Here follow some principal advantages of the utilization of a crane installed on a portal: • The width of the passage between 2,40 m and 3,80 m and the maximum height of 4,50 m permit the transit from the small cars to the buses for the public service • The realization of support slabs in reinforced concrete, in order to reduce the pressure exerted by the crane on particular grounds of squares and streets of historical centre, minimizes the eventual costs for the restoring. • The adjustable stabilizers placed between the columns of the portal and the concrete slabs permit the positioning and the leveling of the crane base in every difference in height of the ground.

S.A.I.E. 2008 - 15th to 18th October
FB Gru will be present at S.A.I.E. 2008 in the external area number 48, stand F59-G62. For the occasion, it will be presented the new crane GHS601, which extends and completes the new TOPLESS series. This new model features a jib 60m long, maximum height at the hook of 66m, jib end capacity of 1100/1200 kg and maximum capacity of 5000 kg. Besided, like all the other last GHS cranes, it has got the option to be installed on portal, increasing its flexibility.

First GHS 401 delivery and erected in UK
First GHS 401 delivered and erected in UK. Thanks to its compactness, it has been transported with only one lorry in order to save the costs. The crane has five jib variants with m 40 of maximum length and kg 1000 of maximum load at the jib nose. 2000 kg of maximum load and m 36 of maximum height under hook.

New models GHS topless and EN 14439:2009
Wider range of GHS cranes with the new GHS 150, GHS 551, GHS 601 and GHS 166. All with a maximum load of 6000 kg with the exception of the largest GHS 166 which reaches 8000 kg with a new 30 kW hoisting winch and a 66 m jib with maximum load at the tip of 1300 kg. The introduction of new types of tower TS 15/06 and TS 12/4ES with climbing cage, provided all the cranes FB reaching a height of 78 free under hook and of 130 m with the use of anchorages. All have been made for the installation, on request, of a motorized auxiliary winch to facilitate and reduce all the operations necessary for maintenance. Most important new about all these models is the possibility, already envisaged in the design stage, to be purchased and equipped with the new devices in accordance to the EN 14439:2009.
